Patron Services Coordinator

The mission of the Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center is to preserve, promote, present and celebrate diverse cultures with special emphasis on African-American cultural heritage through artistic presentations of the highest quality, educational programming and outreach, film and opportunities for community inclusion. Working here at The Lyric provides you with a wide spectrum of experience, from customer service and logistical planning to coordinating events, programs, and furthering the legacy of our mission. 

The Patron Services Coordinator is our face to our community, assisting in working ticketing and front of house for theatrical events, assisting in managing volunteer and logistical staff, marketing and spreading event information to patrons, building upon The Lyric’s patron base, keeping our website updated with upcoming shows and events, maintaining social media marketing, and other clerical responsibilities.

What we expect of applicants:

-High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

-BA in Marketing, Business, Arts Admin, or equivalent experience.

-2+ Years experience in Box Office or Customer Service based job

-Proficiency in in Microsoft Office.

-Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding work environment.

-Good and respectful communication skills with patrons, coworkers, and superiors.

-Availability to work nights and weekends.

-Competency in composing creative and comprehensive marketing campaigns, including press releases, social media campaigns, email campaigns, and physical flier & poster distribution.

-Logistical coordination abilities for Lyric and rental events.

-Ability to manage and coordinate volunteer staff for theatrical events (box office, concessions, will call, etc).

-Ability to maintain ongoing inventory for Lyric concessions manage Lyric marquee.

-Assistance with the planning and enacting of Lyric programs, special events, and concerts.

*Experience with Adobe Suite/equivalent graphic design software a plus.
*Experience with ticketing software (Tix.com, etc) a plus.
*Experience with web design/web management software a plus.
*Experience in rental facilities a plus.
*Experience in Marketing, PR, or Arts Admin a plus.
