Basics 4 Young Bosses Production Camp
Basics for Young Bosses Production Camp is a community based educational initiative geared towards 5th – 8th graders. BFYB Production Camp is designed to engage young students in urban communities with hands on, practical projects where they will gain the experience of creating various products and developing services which can be beneficial to them inside and outside of the class.
The overall objective is to introduce the students to the concept of "Production vs Consumption”. It is important for these students to be able to apply learned information to real life scenarios’ in order for them to receive the most effective, efficient benefits of their in-school education. This program will utilize mainstream, culturally identifiable trends and points of interest to guide them through the processes of creating and producing products and services as opposed to being on the consumer end of products and services. Basics for Young Bosses is intended to create an attitude of ownership amongst the students not only of their personal responsibilities within the group projects but in their personal lives at home and in school.
