This contemporary group show consists of large scale community art projects organized by citizensCREATE!. citizensCREATE! arranges canvases and different media at festivals and other events – allowing and encouraging passers-by to participate. The pieces that result are beautiful, coherent artworks created 100% by random people of all ages, races & cultural backgrounds who add their bit to the work.

“Burden of Proof: Living with Toxic Chemicals”
November 13- 17, 2012
This is a collection of photographs, fashioned by the Kentucky Environmental Foundation and funded by the KY Foundation for Women, tell the stories of three Kentucky women who are asserting women’s rights to a healthy body and a safe first environment for their children. These photos are a tool for education, dialogue and action for a healthier, safer chemicals future.
“16th District PTA Reflections: The Magic of a Moment” Exhibit
November 13-17, 2012
Winning pieces of art by students from the 16th District will be on display in Visual Arts, Film, Photography, Music Composition, and Dance Choreography. Students from Kindergarten through High School competed within their schools for a chance to compete at the district level. Winners at the district level will be chosen to move on to the state level. State level winners move to the national competition.

Join us for the colorful and entertaining opening reception of “La Pasion Latina del Art” (The Passion of Latino Art) exhibit Friday, September 21st. This exhibit is a partnership with the 2012 Festival Latina and contains regional Latino artists who have combined their many talents to celebrate Latino Culture through the arts.
Exhibiting artists include professional painter Enrique Gonzalez of Venezuela, University of Kentucky Fiber Professor Arturo A. Sandoval, Co-Founder of Lexington Fashion Collaborative Soreyda Benedit-Begley of Honduras and more.
